Introducing Alyssa Mathis: Area Manager South Waikato and Central Plateau

We are excited to welcome Alyssa Mathis to our Nutritech team as the new Area Manager in South Waikato and the Central Plateau.

Growing up locally in Putaruru on her parent’s dairy farm Alyssa was lucky enough to get exposed to farming life by helping with calving, feeding out, relief milking and many other aspects of daily farm life.

This experience led her to head off to university where she studied for three years completing a Bachelor of Animal Science with a Major in Nutrition and Growth. After a short period of working outside the primary industries, Alyssa joined the Nutritech family.

Alyssa is excited to get her teeth into the role and learn what it takes to support farmers, “I’m looking forward to building my skillset while working alongside the Nutritech team. I want to help farmers reach their goals and full potential by creating relationships that will help me understand their on-farm practices”.

Outside of work Alyssa has many interests including camping, boating, skiing, and snorkelling and is a keen supporter of local rugby where she even gets on the field herself and has coached younger teams, “I find this so rewarding to see them so happy when they make their first tackle or get their first try”.
