Marjan Sprock

marjan sprock

South Island Ruminant Technical Services Manager

Originally from the Netherlands, Marjan trained as a veterinarian in Utrecht.
Her final thesis (Urea as an indicator for the N-balance of fresh cows’) shows that ruminant nutrition has been her passion from early on in her career.

Since emigrating to New Zealand in 2003, she finished several courses through Massey University and a post-graduate diploma at Lincoln University (which she finished with Distinction) to adapt to and understand New Zealand crop and pastoral farming.

After practising in clinical practice as a large animal veterinarian for over 25 years in different countries around the world and doing nutrition consulting through the clinic, Marjan is now helping Nutritech clients let stock reach their full genetic potential.

With her knowledge Marjan is trying to prevent and improve animal health and reproductive performance issues relating to nutrition.

Marjan loves thinking outside the box and tries to implement solutions within the existing farming system.
